A Brief History of Atelier Lorenzi
The Renaissance invented three principal methods of reproduction : engraving, printing and casting, techniques which over time were perfected and specialized. Printing gave birth to publishing houses and casting to large artistic workshops, whose golden age lasted from the second half of the 19th Century until the 1960s.
Founded in 1871, Atelier Lorenzi is one of the few remaining large casting workshops still in operation. Museums, schools, town halls as well as art collectors come to us to choose from among our collection of over 2,000 models.
Our pieces can be reproduced in plaster, resine or cast stone with patinas. Our work can have a finish like the original or seams can be visible, an aesthetic preferred by some of our clients. In addition to the production of sculptures, we place our expertise at the service of your talent, whether it be casts of your work or the realization of your creative vision.
